About The Role

Rippling is looking for a Vice President of Infrastructure to lead developer platform technologies, platform engineering, and our performance tools organizations.

This successful leader will have exceptional engineering leadership experience coupled with a proven coding background. They will  lead the infrastructure teams that manage cloud technologies, middleware, language runtimes, CI/CD build and deployment systems, core libraries, debugging and monitoring tools, etc. that support Rippling engineering across the world. 

What You'll Do:

  • Lead teams that develop high quality software 
  • Lead the platform vision, architecture, and strategy
  • Create the scalable cloud architecture to host 50,000+ Rippling customers, with lots of head room for scaling
  • Lead teams to conceive and build tools that makes the platform stable and efficient 
  • Lead teams to build frameworks for system performance management
  • Lead teams that implement automated tests, automated deployments, monitoring, and operational tools with true observability
  • Build relationships with engineering leaders across all of our teams to understand their needs

Qualifications:

  • 20+ years of demonstrated leadership in software development 
  • Prior experience in a Director/VP level role in a 200+ member engineering organization 
  • 10+ years of experience working in senior engineering leadership teams
  • Strong people management and career development skills
  • Experience in engineering processes, OKRs and KPIs
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with technical and non-engineering stakeholders
  • Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with large-scale, high-volume SaaS environments
  • Experience in building in data pipeline or data processing platforms
  • Experience in managing developer productivity/efficiency teams
  • Strong understanding of software development, debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting - hands-on experience with writing code
  • Experience in managing QA teams
