About The Role

As a cloud infrastructure security engineer you'll build secure systems that safeguard our customers and data. The security controls you implement will allow engineers to operate safely in our cloud infrastructure. As an early member of Rippling's security team, you'll have a meaningful impact on the priorities and direction of the security program.

What You'll Do: 

  • Build security tooling and automation
  • Identify critical security risks and implement mitigating controls
  • Respond to security events, and then implement systems to prevent the same event from recurring
  • Provide security guidance to other engineers
  • Write effective security response playbooks
  • Automate security responses

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience on a security team
  • Someone who can automate security responses
  • Comfortable writing scripts in either Python or Go
  • A solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals
  • Familiarity with AWS security controls and services
  • Comfort and experience with at least one modern SIEM
  • Security forensics experience in both cloud and corporate infrastructure
  • A passion for learning and continuous growth
