About The Role

Rippling supports 30+ first-party products and resells many hundreds more via Rippling’s software app store. The Billing team is responsible for managing and scaling Rippling billing infrastructure to enable sales teams to sell these products via its contract, subscriptions seamlessly, and discount management platform and customer support/success teams to seamlessly manage customer payments and drive further cross-sell, upsell, and adoption. The team manages multiple different payment rails, is responsible for invoicing and collections from our clients, and is also responsible for building usage-based billing and marketplace revenue infrastructure of the Rippling app store. The Billing team also ensures that company investors, boards, and CXOs get a complete picture of the company’s current and future revenue at any given time.

As the director of Billing Infrastructure, you will work with multiple product teams, including contract management, subscription management, invoicing, payment rails, and revenue bookings.

What You'll Do

● Drive product delivery, enforcing engineering best practices & if needed, contribute to the code hands-on

● Lead a team of passionate software engineers that prides itself on ownership and impact

● Create a culture that insists on meeting expectations, and delivering value

● Be hands-on in technical architecture and reviews

● Work with Product Managers to have a holistic view across engineering and product, and drive engineering and product strategy (wear a product manager hat when needed)

● Help the organization scale and grow with the business

● Drive automated solutions that enable better efficiency and process improvement

● Grow and manage the skills and talent in the organization. Lead People Resource processes related to objectives definitions & regular career pathing process with the team members

Qualifications

● Outstanding customer centric mindset

● Strong hands-on coding, design, and architectural skills

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

● Excellent work standards and highly motivated

● Excellent oral and written communication skills

● 3+ years of experience as an Engineering manager

● 6+ years of professional work experience in software development

● Minimum of a Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
