Recipe overview

Companies governed by the San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) are required by law to satisfy a number of requirements—one of them being a minimum spending obligation for their employees’ health care costs.

Under the SF HCSO, that minimum expenditure is determined on a quarterly basis, by multiplying the total number of hours worked by the employee with the applicable expenditure rate (as of 2021, that is $2.12 for medium companies and $3.18 for large companies).

With this Recipe, Rippling will automatically pull data from your Rippling Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Benefits products, and calculate the amount you need to contribute for each employee to satisfy your obligations under the HCSO.
