Meet the Ripplers: Nikhil Bohra

Meet Nikhil Bohra - Hero Image

Meet Nikhil Bohra, Product Lead, Identity & Access Management at Rippling. After a decade of building products and a stint as a founder, he came to Rippling chasing one thing: the feeling of building something real, fast, and at scale. Read about how he shows up with intensity (and balances it) below.

Journey to Rippling

I’ve spent over 12 years in product management, though I actually started my career as a data scientist. Before Rippling, I was solving complex problems at companies like Myntra and HackerRank. Most notably, I spent time at Acko leading the embedded insurance vertical. We were building category-leading offerings for the gig economy at a massive scale, which was a formative experience in understanding real-world product sustainability.

Just before coming here, I took a detour into entrepreneurship, running my own AI travel startup for a year. That experience of being an individual contributor (IC) again, building from scratch and shipping fast, reminded me how much I love being hands-on. I wanted to find a place where I could chase the feeling of high-velocity building again. That’s exactly what brought me to Rippling about nine months ago.

Building the future of IT

I lead our IAM efforts within the IT suite. Essentially, I spend my days thinking about how to make security and access simple, automated, and honestly, delightful for IT Admins.

My day is a constant blend of the tactical and the strategic. I might be prototyping user experiences in Figma or v0 and debugging issues in the morning, then shifting to deep-dive sessions with my engineering and design partners in the afternoon. A huge part of the role is talking to users and internal subject matter experts to ensure our immediate execution is actually informing our long-term strategy.

We recently launched fully automated offboarding for Google and Microsoft email providers. It handles everything from calendar transfers to MFA resets. Seeing thousands of customers adopt that with a 99.9% success rate within weeks is what keeps me going. We’re turning "checkbox features" into human-centric experiences.

Why Rippling?

What surprised me most was how "hands-on" the leadership is. It’s not just a catchphrase here; VPs and CXOs are actually using the product and giving detailed feedback on the UI/UX. It sets a tone of accountability and it’s not about hierarchy; it’s about the outcome.

We are truly an AI-first organization, and that starts at the top. It’s common to see leadership across Product, Design, and Engineering, even at the executive level. Rolling up their sleeves and pushing PRs, obviously with Cursor by their side. There is a rare intensity here, but it’s purposeful. We "dogfood" our product launches religiously. Decisions happen fast because we have direct access to leadership—it's not uncommon to have a coffee chat with an exec where tough questions get answered immediately. If you value direction, speed, and quality, this is the place to be. We’re solving real pain, like "Shadow IT" and fragmented workflows, by using Rippling’s HRIS data to automate intent.

Out of Office

I am a die-hard Manchester United fan, 24 years and counting. I’ve made it to Old Trafford twice, including a Manchester derby, which was incredible. I’m also a big fan of "slow travel." I have a Euro trip coming up in May 2026 that I’m really looking forward to. Also, if you’re ever in the office, we have some surprisingly great table tennis talent on the team that keeps the energy high!
