Being able to see what devices we have in inventory at any given time has been amazing for streamlining onboarding and reporting to finance.

FAQs

What products are included in Rippling Device Lifecycle Management?

It includes Rippling Device Management and Rippling Inventory Management. Device Management installs Rippling’s agent for real-time tracking, security, and automation.

Can I buy Inventory Management on its own?

No, since it requires Device Management so Rippling can track and manage devices accurately.

What regions do you support for shipping, warehousing, and retrievals?

Rippling’s global warehouses and retrievals are available in the US, Canada, UK, EU, and Australia.

Can devices be drop-shipped directly to employees?

Yes. Devices can be shipped using zero-touch enrollment. They arrive pre-configured with apps, accounts, and security policies applied automatically.

How does device retrieval work when an employee leaves?

Rippling tracks assigned devices, sends return reminders, and can lock or wipe them remotely. Retrieval shipping is supported in the US, CA, UK, EU, and AUS.

What is the Device Buyback program?

Using built-in, real-time resale data directly from the Rippling Devices panel, you can sell eligible laptops stored in Rippling’s US warehouse. You’ll get an instant quote, and the value is applied as credits on your next Rippling invoice.

Which devices are eligible for Buyback?

Currently, Mac and Windows devices stored in our US warehouses are eligible. iOS and iPadOS are not currently supported for resale. Devices must be in working condition with residual value.

How can I guarantee my devices and data will be securely disposed of? Do you offer Certificates of Destruction (CoDs) for compliance evidence?

Rippling issues Certificates of Destruction (CoDs), also known as Data Erasure Certificates, three weeks after a device has been processed. The certificate shows the device information and verifies the destruction was compliant with NIST SP 800-88 as well as ISO and Adisa compliant, so you can rest assured destruction was properly managed for your next security audit.

How much can I expect to get for old devices?

Values depend on model, age, and condition. Many customers are surprised—credits often offset months of their Rippling subscription.
